The basics
- Additional cardholders. With this card, you can add up to 4 additional cardholders for a fee of $15 each. You will be responsible for managing the account and repayments.
- Digital wallets. Compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
- Gambling transactions. Bank of Queensland has blocked all gambling-related transactions with this card.
Rewards and benefits
- Complimentary travel insurance. The BOQ Low Rate Visa Credit Card does not provide complimentary international travel insurance for cardholders.
- Concierge services. The Bank of Queensland Low Rate Visa Credit Card does not include access to a concierge service.
- Insurances. This card comes with fraud protection.
- Rewards points. This credit card does not have a rewards program.
- Sign-up bonus. Bank of Queensland does not offer a sign-up bonus for this card.
Rates and fees
- Annual fee. This card has an annual fee of $65.
- Balance transfers. Get 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 18 months (up to 80% of your approved limit), with a 2% transfer fee.
- Cash advances. With the BOQ Low Rate Visa Credit Card, cash advances will attract 21.99% p.a. interest, which will be charged immediately from the withdrawal date. Additionally, cash advances will be charged a one-off fee.
- Foreign exchange fee. Purchases made in a foreign currency, either overseas or online, will incur a 3.4% fee.
- Interest-free period. The BOQ Low Rate Visa Credit Card offers up to 55 days interest-free on purchases (except cash advances) when you have paid your previous balance in full or made the minimum required payment.
- Purchases. Purchases on this card will attract interest at an ongoing rate of 13.99% p.a., which is still lower than the average

Great service and easy to use, staff are always friendly and the website is easy to use and very convenient. There are a lot of agencies especially in Cairns and there are a lot of ATM available especially the red ATM. I use the website mostly and I am happy with the new upgrade of the site…

I really love the card it has pay pass and its easy to use, it has a good design and they have great customer service its also a small and trustworthy branch I would definitely recommend this bank to all of my friends and family it also has a lot of ATM machines around.

We use this as our day to day credit card. We prefer it over other cards as it has a lower interest rate. We are not reward users and therefore find this card the most suitable to our needs. The online banking is easy to use. We have not considered changing.
